do the helen keller
Ever meet someone and think wow, you are super white!
I'm not talking about skin color (although sometimes that is the case). I'm talking the stereotypical white American. Republican, country girl, grew up on a farm, aspiring housewife, always on the look out for a husband, drunken party girl, hates hip hop (which saddens me), super friendly and a bit judgmental of blacks. This describes my coworker. She's really nice though. I was just taken aback by how white she is. If that even makes sense. I'm not racist but growing up in a city, I'm not really exposed to people like her who aren't from a city. Just a simple observation. She adores Sarah Palin too.
I came back to Davis yesterday. It is so hot! I started my new job today. Basically I get to be a receptionist. I pick up the phone and process petitions. I gather files for the counselors and things like that. There's so much stuff I have to learn and not to mention, I got kind of lost today in the office looking for the water cooler. That's pretty embarrassing. The nice thing is I get my own computer account and can change the wallpaper. I know.. what a lame thing to be excited about. I'm totally making it a pic of Favre though as soon as I get the chance. Probably that pic in the last post. And thanks Jess and Leslie for noticing the Wrangler ad. I have seen it before. He makes me want to go to K-Mart and purchase men's jeans. Or rather, he makes me want to take off his jeans. You didn't hear this from me.
So I watched Burn After Reading. It was moderately funny. Person I went with didn't like it though. Called it dumb. I was a little disappointed by that because who doesn't like funny murders? I sure do.
p.s. Anyone else remember Undressed? I use to think I would go to hell for watching it. I grew up semi-Catholic.
